TeamCity 3.1, considered mostly a maintenance release, brings several new features, namely:

  • new types of statistics reports
  • improvements in 3rd party .NET tools integration
  • external database migration (Oracle and MS SQL)

...plus multiple user interface enhancements, performance improvements, and bugfixes.

The complete list with detailed description is available at http://www.jetbrains.com/teamcity/features/newfeatures.html

TeamCity boasts many ways to monitor the build process of your company and the status of integrating code changes. Not only can you select from a wider choice of tools and places such as TeamCity web interface, supported IDEs (Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, and Microsoft Visual Studio), e-mail, RSS feeds, Jabber/XMPP protocol or Windows Tray to stay up-to-date with the recent events but also benefit from a flexibility of notification conditions. New builds status' notifications are among these release highlights.

A wide range of predefined notification conditions and events can help you avoid the information overload, stay tuned to the development and switch to other applications and dig the builds problems deeper only when it is really necessary. Since this version you can receive notifications in these two cases which you probably come across quite often:

  • on the first successful build after failed
  • on the first failed build after successful

Besides when customizing the notification rules you can set them for all the company's projects in just one click.

Take a look at the new notification possibilities our public demo server at http://teamcity.jetbrains.com Here you can try it for yourself, without any installation and configuration.

And don't forget to download Free Professional Edition at http://www.jetbrains.com/teamcity/download/index.html

Wishing you always develop with pleasure!
