He warned us about Oracle.  Now Johnathan Schwartz has washed his hands of it and gotten his first job after leaving his last position as the CEO of Sun Microsystems.  Schwartz has joined the board of Taleo, a vendor of cloud-based talent management solutions.  Schwartz might have gotten the nod because of his early cloud work with Sun.  

Apple Patches JailbreakMe Hole; Jailbreakers Make Their Own Patch
Once iPhone and iPad users download the iOS 4.0.2 update, they will no longer be vulnerable through the PDF exploit that the developers at Jailbreakme.com found to easily jailbreak devices.  Of course, the jailbreaking site's utility won't work once the patch is downloaded, since it used that same vulnerability to jailbreak.  Apple's patch also un-jailbreaks the jailbroken devices, so the JailbreakMe developers developed their own patch so you can jailbreak your device and still plug the hole.

Clojure 1.2 RC3
The next release candidate of Clojure 1.2 is here and nearly GA-ready.  Only four bugs were fixed for the third release candidate including underive issues, finally blocks, and the reader and writer in clojure.java.io.  Also, future now clears closed-over variables, allowing garbage collection.

Firefox 4 Update for the Toucy-Feely Type
A third beta of Firefox 4 now supports multitouch features in Windows 7.  The beta also updates the C++ representation of JavaScript to execute numeric code more efficiently.  Most of their feedback has been from men who use the internet between two and six hours a day.
