What's happening to Sixth & Red River?
I navigated to http://www.sixthandredriver.com/ this morning and found the message
Sixth and Red River Software was formed to create high-quality, language-aware software development tools at a reasonable price. However, due to changing market conditions and other opportunities, we are closing down our retail business as of April 8, 2008. Support inquiries can be directed to support@sixthandredriver.com.
I know some of their products, such as Refactor-X and JS inspections, have made it into IntelliJ by default -- will this happen with the rest of their products as well now?
Can anyone shed some light about what's going on? What will happen to their product line? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

Hello Jim,
For the moment I can only say that we are currently at the negotiations stage.
As soon as there are any news on the issue, we will make the corresponding announcement.
Kind regards,
- Ann.

Hello Gustav,
Thank you for your interest. Just a week ot two ago we have finalized the contract, so now these plugins are under JetBrains' ownership. They will definitely be part of the version 8.0, but we will not be supporting or maintaning these plug-ins for _older_ IntelliJ IDEA versions.
Hope these news can be considered as good ones :-)
Develop with pleasure!
- Ann.

Hi Ann,
This is very excitinig news! Are the plugins available for download with the current EAP builds of 8.0, or will they come later? Would you happen to know when they will be made available if they aren't yet?
Thanks,
Jim
